We welcome your observations, corrections, and questions. The catalogue is maintained by a small editorial team, and every message helps improve the collection for all readers.
When to write
You may wish to contact us for any of the following reasons:
- Metadata corrections — an incorrect title, author name, or publication date; a missing or misattributed translator or illustrator; or a book placed in the wrong category. For example, a title such as Agricultural zoology — Inside the Classic appearing under the wrong subject heading.
- File or reader failures — an ebook that fails to open, displays garbled text, missing images, or broken links; or a format that behaves poorly on a specific device or browser.
- Accessibility concerns — missing alternative text for illustrations, poor contrast, or other barriers that make the text difficult to use with assistive technology.
- Privacy questions — inquiries about how your data is handled when you browse the catalogue, use the reading interface, or contact us.
- Copyright or rights issues — if you believe a title in the catalogue is not in the public domain in your jurisdiction, or if you hold rights to a work and wish to discuss its inclusion.
- General editorial observations — suggestions for new titles, notes on the reading notes or companion guides, or other thoughtful feedback. We are particularly interested in recommendations of classic works in our subject categories, such as Fabre's Book of Insects or The Migration of North American Birds.
What to include
To help us address your report efficiently, please include as many of the following details as are relevant:
- The exact page URL where you encountered the issue.
- The full title of the ebook or reading guide.
- The file format you were using (EPUB, PDF, HTML, etc.).
- The device or browser and its version (e.g., Chrome 120 on Windows 11, or Kindle Paperwhite 11th gen).
- A clear description of the problem, including any error messages you saw.
- If your message concerns copyright or rights, please include any supporting information you are able to share.

We read every message, though we cannot guarantee a personal reply to every inquiry. We do not use contact forms, and we do not maintain a telephone line or postal address for catalogue matters.

We treat all reports with care. Metadata errors are reviewed and, where confirmed, corrected in the next catalogue update. File issues are investigated and, if reproducible, addressed as resources allow. Copyright concerns are taken seriously, and we will promptly review any valid takedown request. Your privacy is respected: we do not share your email address or correspondence with third parties, and we retain contact messages only as long as needed to resolve the matter.
If you are unsure whether a particular observation warrants a message, please err on the side of writing. Even small details — a missing period in a title, a duplicate entry, or a suggestion for a new reading companion — help us refine the library.
